how to care for your

Leather is a natural material that needs to be loved and cared for in order to live its longest life. Scuffs happen, especially when little ones are playing, but you’ll be surprised how much leather care can renew and protect your shoes. Real leather is so durable as long as it’s treated with love. Learn more about how to take care your shoes below!

How to care for your leather shoes:

Clean shoe with a damp cloth or leather shoe wipes. Let dry completely.
*Optional: Use a leather shoe cream according to what color leather you are treating, to reapply color to the scuffed area. (We don't currently offer leather shoe creams but they can be found on Amazon or at local shoe stores.)
Condition with Saddle Soap, apply using your hands or a soft cloth or sponge. Wipe excess off and let dry.
To waterproof your shoes, use Mink oil. Apply liberally with a soft cloth or paper towel and let dry.

*note:

Lighter leather will show dirt and scuffs more and it is harder to find a matching shoe cream to restore its color. We have added a slight gloss to protect it better and make them easier to wipe clean, however closed-toe shoes will be more prone to scuffs and we recommend treating those with care.
