Sol first released in the Spring of 2018 under our Vintage Spring Release and has been a customer favorite ever since!
Some design ideas take a long time for us to develop, but that was not the case with Sol. When I (Allison) used to live in Nicaragua, Rachel and I would meet annually in New York to plan out the year ahead of us together. It was a rare chance for us to do business meetings in person instead of over video calls. While waiting in line to see the Statue of Liberty, we discussed wanting to add another Mary Jane to our line of shoes. Because we were still a fairly new business, we didn’t have that many styles out yet and wanted to add something unique to our line up. Within minutes, we had Sol designed on a receipt and sent to Marvin to try to create.
